IE4 and IE5 motors
Low and medium voltage motors from 0.75 kW to 5 MW, built in Jebel Ali, Dammam and Sohar and load-tested before they ship.
Overview
Two ranges cover almost every duty. The NA-series is a rugged IE4 induction motor in a cast-iron frame, the safe choice for direct-on-line pumps, fans and conveyors. The NX-series uses a permanent-magnet rotor to reach IE5, the highest efficiency class in IEC 60034-30-1, and runs on a variable speed drive.
Both share the same frame sizes and mounting dimensions as standard IEC motors, so they drop into existing bases without new steelwork. Hazardous area (ATEX and IECEx), marine (DNV) and washdown versions are built on the same lines.
Every motor is routine-tested before it leaves the factory, and motors above 200 kW get a full-load heat run on our test bay. You’re welcome to witness it.

Questions about motors
Should I choose IE4 or IE5?
If the motor runs most of the year on a variable speed drive, IE5 usually pays back its extra cost within two to three years. For direct-on-line duties, or motors that run a few hours a day, IE4 is normally the better buy. We’ll run both through your duty cycle and show you the numbers.
Will a Norvik motor fit my existing base?
Yes, in almost every case. Both ranges use standard IEC frame sizes and shaft heights. Send us the nameplate of the motor you’re replacing and we’ll confirm.
Can I witness the test?
Yes. Witness tests are free for motors above 200 kW and booked when you order. For smaller motors we charge AED 1,800 per test session.
What warranty do you give?
Three years from delivery on NA and NX motors, extended to five years with a Norvik service agreement.
