Birthday parties
A science party run by two of our leaders, for children turning 5 to 11. Foam, slime, fizz and a finale that gets the grown-ups watching too.
What it’s like
Two leaders arrive 45 minutes early with everything: lab coats, goggles, a portable bench and the kit for the theme you chose. You choose from Mad Lab (fizz, foam and colour change), Space Party (rockets and moon dust) or Slime and Crystals, and we fit the running order around your child.
The birthday child is chief scientist and gets to start the finale, a tower of foam or a bottle rocket if there is outdoor space. Everyone makes something to take home, and we clear up every drop before we go.

How it runs

Welcome and lab coats
Coats and goggles on, safety rules in thirty seconds, and the chief scientist sworn in.

Hands-on experiments in small groups, each one louder than the last.

Make and take
Every guest makes slime or a crystal kit to take home.

The birthday child starts the big one, while we film it on your phone.

Prices include 5% VAT. 10% off for brothers and sisters, and term passes and camp weeks can be paid in two instalments.

Parents ask
How much space do you need?
A clear floor about four by four metres for up to 15 children, and a table. For bottle rockets we need a garden, a compound lawn or a park, from October to April when it’s cool enough outside.
Is it too messy for a living room?
We bring floor sheets and keep the messiest experiments to the bench. Most hosts say the room is tidier than when we arrived.
Can younger siblings join in?
Yes, from age four with a grown-up nearby. Under-fours can watch the finale from a safe distance.
