Layla grew up in Sharjah, studied law at the American University of Sharjah and spent six years structuring companies for a Dubai law firm. In 2012 she opened Manara with one desk, one phone and a rule she still keeps: each client has one advisor, from the first conversation to the renewal.

Arjun spent nine years as a corporate relationship manager at two UAE banks before joining Manara in 2018. He sat on the other side of the table for hundreds of account applications, and he knows which ones the compliance team sends back.

Claire moved to Dubai in 2004 to run relocation for an engineering firm, and has helped families settle in the UAE ever since. She joined Manara in 2015 to lead residency, and opened our Riyadh office in 2019 for clients in Saudi Arabia setting up in the UAE.
Behind the three advisors are eleven specialists: government relations officers who attend the economic departments, immigration offices and typing centres every day; two accountants for VAT and corporate tax; a document controller who tracks every attestation; and our coordinators in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
